MacDonald: John MacDonald

John MacDonald was the second man to come forward alleging that he had been sexually abused as a young boy by Father Charles MacDonald ,more commonly known in Cornwall, Ontario as Father Charlie, or, simply Charlie. In May 2002 Father MacDonald won a stay when he claimed his right to a speedy trial had been violated  John testified at the Cornwall Public Inquiry 13 & 14 December 2006 and 16 & 17 January 2007.

Obstruction of Justice

In January 2007 John filed a complaint with the Cornwall Police Service of obstruction of justice against Cornwall Crown attorney Murray MacDonald, and Justices Peter Griffiths and Robert Pelletier (Griffiths and Pelletier were Crowns in the early days of the Cornwall sex abuse scandal and cover-up).  As of November 2007 no action had been taken by police and decision made to wait until the inquiry is over.

The Sean Adams/Father Kevin Maloney connection:  (John MacDonald Testimony and Evidence re Cornwall lawyer Sean Adams representing Father Kevin Maloney and suggesting Maloney report John  to police for leaving a message on Maloney’s answering machine.   Adams was also the lawyer who represented David Silmser in the infamous $32,000 pay-off  )
